A Pasadena Story, Three Generations in the Making
In 1938, Garnet Bryan opened a small dry cleaning business in Pasadena. He had spent nearly thirteen years in the industry and saw something special in the city. With a belief in hard work, high standards, and personal service, he founded BRYAN’S Cleaners & Dyers to meet the needs of a growing community.
In 1952, his son-in-law William Bell joined the company. He started at the front counter, then moved into spotting and finishing. Over time, he learned every step of the process. William eventually became chairman and helped lead the business for decades. After Garnet passed away in 1988, William and his son Scott took over the business together.
Scott Bell, Garnet’s grandson, began working in the company in 1982. He brought a new level of energy and vision while honoring the family’s original values. Under his leadership, the company expanded its reach and reputation. In 1993, the name changed to BRYAN’S Cleaners & Laundry to reflect the full range of services offered.
Today, Scott continues to lead the company with the same dedication and care that started it all. The business remains family-owned and proudly serves Pasadena and the surrounding communities.
